Price comparison: A Tiffany diamond ring

Valentine’s day is this weekend and perhaps you have considered buying something very special for someone. Hence, the Asian Wall Street Journal’s weekly Arbitrage column has recently conducted a survey of prices for Tiffany diamond rings in various cities in Asia and around the world. The survey found that prices were highest in Tokyo – in fact, by several thousand dollars compared to the next highest priced city. However, prices were considerably lower in other Asian cities, some European cities and in New York.
